My Meditation approach

Meditation is the most natural thing a human can do.

It begins with cultivating mindfulness, the simple yet powerful skill of nonjudgmental attentiveness to raw experience, moment by moment. Once this skill is established, other styles of meditation become accessible:

Open Sitting, Self-Inquiry, Mettā (Loving-Kindness), Walking

I teach meditation as a microcosm of life, a laboratory or playground. What happens here reflects what happens in the wider world. Meditation allows us to uncover and recognize the qualities that are already present within us, including joy, peace, strength, love, compassion, flow, creativity, and equanimity. These qualities are available regardless of circumstance. This can be hard for the mind to believe and can only be discovered personally. Meditation poises us for that discovery.

I do teach spirituality, but I meet each person where they are. You do not need to identify as spiritual to meditate or experience its benefits.
